Huge Beaumont.
mouthpiece?
It’s in the description, a Mt. Vernon 6C
Right out of the box this guy jumps in with both feet.
Wouderful!
Clean!
What an official upload. Thanks Craig!
Pure gold
I thought that Lee used a Conn
He used a bunch of horns over the years, but on this particular recording he was on a Committee (with the Dizzy bent bell)
@@tweddelltrumpet in the vol.3 LP do you know what he plays there?
@@user-vw1vf5cw7d on Volume 3 he is playing a Committee as well (with a standard bell) but he is playing a different mouthpiece, not sure what the mouthpiece is on that album
@@tweddelltrumpet thank you. I am not familiar with Martins. (What a difference can a mouthpiece do)
fantastic
Why isn't precious footage like this better preserved!
I heard a phrase from Jazz Crimes at the end of the first song
Sounds like Michael Jackson
Thank you for posting this excellent performance by one of the greatest Jazz musicians. Tragedy that his life was cut so short by illness.
what soft spoken guy good soul
He sounds so smol
why does he sound like Michael jackson 😭
Great info man ! Thanks!
Great interview--a real treat to listen to. My wife and I literally bumped into Chet Baker going down the stairs to enter a small club in Saratoga, CA, the Club Le Boheme, in 1984. Sadly, Baker looked like the ''Portrait of Dorian Gray". Life had taken its toll on him by that point. But, he put on a great show playing trumpet, guitar, drums, and, of course, singing. Seeing him in person was a truly unique experience that I will always remember.
An angel 🙏🏿
Intelligent guy.
What is the difference between a 38b and 36b?
Thank you. Just bought one.
Beautiful work!
Is this horn from your personal collection? If so, any interest in ever selling it?
I sold it a long time ago
too fine and too smooth
Listen to this entire interview of Chet Baker. Its so educational and interesting.
Tell em, Chet!
I can't stand these white people compositions on air interviewing men that their music comes from Black people. The white people approach is to somehow make the white person feel it's not appropriate to play music created by Black people.
Those helical cutterheads are about the price of the jointer so it shouldn't be much of a shock😅
Is the last photo of Getz and Baker?? Who knows?
Yup
thanks. Getz and Baker seldom played together, Correct?@@tweddelltrumpet
@@johnlindstrom9994 they have at least 5 albums together. There is also a full concert of Stan and Chet on RUclips
Thanks! What trumpet…a gifted and tortured soul, the film was an irrelevance maybe, but his playing is always a joy
standard!
As it should be
Have you posted the written out solo? So many beautiful lines!
He sounds like Michael Jackson
He sounds more like Marvin Gaye
Russ Freeman and Chet Baker
What kind of wax for table?
That is not an original maintenance light is it?
immensely special. thank you ❣️
Thanks you.
looks like Matt Smith
I wish the video quality was better, regrettable !!
Oh my god Chet was such a gem!! Such a calming voice
Most enjoyable thank you.
omygod my soul is melting
WHY IS YOUR SOUL MELTING? CHET WAS NOT ALL THAT IN MUSIC, IN GET HIGH YEAH, HE WAS ALL THAT.
What is your problem@@petergordon3346
That’s perfection
Did Chetbaker use Martin or Martin Deluxe??
This movie makes me want to enlist AND become a junkie.
Great review, Thanks!
Thank You Kenny along with Booker Little deserve forever high praise!
Agree
KD and Booker Little are arguably the most singularly identifiable trumpeters of the 1960s. Actually, both men enjoy wide acclaim among jazz connoisseurs and those who fancy unique trumpet players.
